Sadie Robertson endorsed President Donald Trump during his campaign, but how does she feel about how he’s been doing?
Sadie was excited to vote in November 2016, saying, “It’s really cool this year because a lot of young people are really getting involved.”
In August 2016, she publicly said she’d be voting for Trump, following in the footsteps of her father, Willie Robertson, who’s a huge Trump fan.
“I guess I’m on the Trump train too now,” she told ET! with a smile. “I just feel like I align most with his beliefs and views and I trust him.”
And because politics is such a hot-button issue, she wants people to be nice to her even if they disagree with her vote.
“People get really into politics, which you should,” she said. “You should look into it, you should care about it, but … it’s a just kind of a touchy subject.”
“So haters, be nice!” she added. “[I’m on a] ‘no hater’ diet right here.”
But now, after about six months with the new president, what does Sadie think of how things are going? Would she recant her endorsement, or maybe double down on it?
“I would be voting for Trump,” she said back in October 2016, the last time she’s spoken publicly about Trump. “…In the end it comes down to two people. For me and my family, we agree with what Trump wants to do with America.”
So we have to assume Sadie is still in that same place in her perspective of Trump — fully supporting our president, riding that Trump Train all the way home.
