Christian to Christian

Back in June 2016, Sadie Robertson received a message from a young Christian man through YouTube.

In it, the young man, Tait Holcomb from Crossville, Alabama, says he had been praying and praying to God about finding a wife. He believes God showed him his future wife.

“God, one night…he showed me and told me that she’s out there,” he says in the video.

He then describes a dream he had. In this dream, he says God told him to make this video.

“God told me — he said, ‘Make this video.’ You can believe it or not,” he said. “When God tells you to do something, you know you need to do it.”

The title of the video is “Message to Sadie Robertson.” So was he asking Sadie on a date? Or was he proposing to her?

After watching the video, one could say that he is trying to get Sadie’s attention in order to have some sort of future with her. But in the video’s comments, Tait debunks this idea.

“I made this as a leap of faith not knowing what the purpose was for,” he writes. “I pray to find my wife all the time, I was merely addressing that fact.”

And he actually said he wasn’t sure why he made the video, but he hopes that it helps somebody.

“I still do not know the reason behind the video, but if anyone gets even the slightest bit of uplifting encouragement from it, that makes it worth it,” he writes.
