Hurricane Matthew has affected at least two country music concerts just this week.

They’ve postponed The Beach Town Music Festival, set to run Friday and Saturday (October 7-8) in Vero Beach, Florida. Florida Governor Rick Scott declared a state of emergency for every county in the state, 67 in total.

“People have less than 24 hours to prepare,” said Florida Governor Rick Scott. “Having a plan could be the difference between life and death.”

W. Craig Fugate, cheif of the Federal Emergency Management Agency also warned people to prepare and make a plan.

“Residents and visitors should take evacuation orders seriously,” he said. “This is a major hurricane that has the potential to cause significant harm to life and property.”

Artists scheduled to perform at the festival include Jake Owen, David Nail, Clare Dunn, David Ray, Scotty Emerick, Adley Stump, Bret Michaels, Gin Blossoms, Edwin McCain and L.A. Guns. Fortunately, they’ll still honor tickets for the rescheduled dates, which they’ll announce very soon.

The second event effected by this hurricane was the first show in Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour 2016 in Gaston, South Carolina, on October 5. He had to cancel the show, unfortuantely, and will issue full refunds. The new opening date is now Greenback, Tennessee.

On Tuesday (October 4), Garth Brooks announaced he’ll be rescheduling his Thursday night show in Orlando, Florida. It will now be Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m.

The New York Times reported that the storm (a category 4!) slammed the southern coast of Haiti with winds reaching 145 miles per hour on Tuesday. It ruined homes and made trasnportation impossible.
