Left-wing lawmakers have begun the process to formally censure President Trump. Why? For telling the truth. After the tragic events in Charlottesville, VA the president placed the blame on both sides-where it belongs. Being ever so reluctant to face the truth, Democrats are blaming President Trump.

House Democrats, led by New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler, are expected to file a formal resolution to publicly condemn President Trump for his remarks. “A president of the United States cannot support neo-Nazis. It’s just beyond the pale,” said Nadler, a member of the House Judiciary Committee. “I hope Republicans who have expressed outrage with what he said put their money where their mouth is.”

While only three Democrats have signed onto the resolution, Nadler expects more will join the effort. Under normal circumstances, the censure would likely not gain traction in the GOP-controlled House. But, what we see happening today is anything but normal. Several RINOS, like Speaker Paul Ryan, have joined Democrats in rebuking the president.

The remarks that sparked this latest liberal outrage, which has become customary since January 20th, came at President Trump’s news conference on Tuesday. While discussing his new infrastructure bill, the president was once again ambushed by reporters. The answer he gave set the world on fire.

“There’s blame on both sides,” Trump said of Charlottesville. “You look at both sides. I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it and you don’t have any doubt about it either.” After denouncing white supremacists, for a second time, President Trump laid out the cold, hard truth about Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA.

“What about the alt-left that came charging at the, as you say, the alt-right?” Trump asked. “Do they have any semblance of guilt?” The answer to that is a resounding yes. At least it is for all those who have heard and witnessed the racist rhetoric and violent actions of these two groups. Just as there is no defense for white supremacy there is also no defense for white hate- or any hate for that matter.

The Washington Post has it wrong. Democracy doesn’t die in darkness, it dies when the truth is censored. Or in this case-censured.
