Actor Johnny Depp, is the latest to make a threatening remark about President Trump. Needless to say, his alleged “joke” didn’t go over very well, sparking international outrage. Sadly, it brought him far more attention, albeit negative attention, than his disappointing movies.

As you are probably aware, Depp created a firestorm at the Glastonbury arts festival in England last week, when he asked the crowd, “when is the last time an actor assassinated the president?” So not only did he manage to threaten President Trump, but he also mocked the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. And he did it just weeks after a gunman opened fire on Republican Congressman.

Not surprisingly, the White House is more than fed-up with the blatant calls for violence. In an off-camera press briefing, Press Secretary Sean Spicer, slammed the left’s hypocrisy. “It’s a little troubling, the lack of outrage that we’ve seen in some of these instances where people have said what they’ve said with respect to the President, and the action that should be taken,” said Spicer.

Spicer went on to tell the media that President Trump has condemned all forms of violence and suggested that they expect everyone else to follow that standard. “The President’s made it clear that we should denounce violence in all its forms, and I think if we’re going to hold to that standard we should all agree that standard should be universally called out.”

Depp has since apologized for the comment, in typical liberal fashion, admitting it was made in “poor taste.” “It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone,” Depp said.

So when is the thought of assassinating an American president amusing to the public? Never before, the left has hit a new low.
