Norman Reedus is known for some pretty wild posts on his Instagram page, Big Bald Head. He’s well-known to showcase behind-the-scenes images from both The Walking Dead and Ride With Norman Reedus.

When he’s not posting backstage images, he’s posting fan art and various mix-up images like those from Star Wars and Walking Dead, or more recently, a film from former co-star Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon).

That’s right, the newest image mixes The Walking Dead with Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

Winston, the Heapster’s walker, is in the top right, while Andrew Lincoln takes on Chris Pratt’s role as Peter Quill (Star-Lord), in the center. Merle Dixon is still Merle Dixon, but this time Rooker is playing Yondu.

Danai Gurira is taking Zoe Saldana’s role as Gamora, while they’ve attached Carl’s hat to Rocket Raccoon’s head. In the background, it looks like Groot might be Judith and then it looks like Khary Payton’s King Ezekiel is mixed with Dave Bautista, who stars as Drax in the Marvel franchise.

Fans love the image which has over 250,000 likes on Instagram.

Survivors of the Apocalypse

The image is called “Survivors of the Apocalypse” rather than “Guardians of the Galaxy” and dozens of fans have commented on the picture, which continues to get more and more likes, day to day.

In the Marvel film, “The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.” The only real connection between the two are Michael Rooker who plays Merle and Yondu.

Michael Rooker has spoken about inviting Norman Reedus to the Marvel Universe, but so far, nothing permanent has begun. Volume 2 did bring Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone to the franchise.
