Two characters from The Big Bang Theory who certainly match their on-screen counterparts are Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Kaley Cuoco (Penny). Both actors are quite similar to the roles they portray.

When Actors Match Their Characters

Fans love when actors on television match their character roles in real life. This is true for shows like Parks and Rec, Seinfeld, and of course, The Big Bang Theory. This is also why pilot episodes are often so different from what a show will become where Sheldon was a little more girl-crazy.

This is especially true in one image Kaley Cuoco posted where she’s not wearing a shirt on Instagram.

The photo is tasteful, despite the content, similar to a cologne ad in a magazine. However, Jim Parsons felt the need to do a little acting and pretend to be Cuoco’s father, similar to his role as Sheldon.

Parsons wrote, “Where is your shirt, missy?!?” in the comments section. This is likely the same thing the other 3 million followers were thinking after Kaley Cuoco posted the racy photo.

This certainly isn’t the first time Parsons has seen Cuoco in this manner.

Sheldon’s Not-So-Sexual Nature

One of the running jokes on the series is how Sheldon believes women will one day come after him, sexually, for his mind. Kaley Cuoco’s character Penny has done this a few times, but Amy Farrah Fowler is serious when she does it.

One of the funniest moments from last season was when Leonard booked Sheldon on a train getaway where he actually got to be the conductor on a locomotive. At the end of the episode, Amy watched Sheldon cool off by pouring water on himself.

The hilarious scene mimicked many other movies like Fast Times at Ridgemont High or 10, but this time Sheldon was playing the role of Bo Derek.
