Comedian Will Do Anything For Attention
Kathy Griffin | Photo Credit CNN It’s clear that comedian Kathy Griffin will do just about anything for attention. The comedian uses shock value the way that Carrot Top uses props. Unfortunately, neither are funny.
Recently, Kathy Griffin has been starring alongside Anderson Cooper every New Year’s Eve to count down the ball drop. This week, however, she chose to do a photo shoot holding a mock, decapitated head that resembled President Trump.
Griffin worked with Tyler Shields on the photo shoot.
Kathy Griffin said, “Tyler and I are not afraid to do images that make noise. First, I am an artist.” In a behind-the-scenes video, she knew how much controversy the video and the images would stir up.
Fox News reports:
“Griffin’s art also mocks those murdered by ISIS. The joke is deliberately linked to those beheadings. The joke is not just on Donald’s head but theirs as well. So, call it art but we know what it is. It’s a cop out. You’re milking attention through an infantile effort to enrage.”

CNN reports:
“I’m a comic,” she said. “I cross the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far. The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it.” She said she is asking celebrity photographer Tyler Shields to take down the photo.
“I beg for your forgiveness. I went too far,” she said in the post on Tuesday. “I made a mistake and I was wrong.” Earlier Tuesday, Shields, who is known for his provocative images, released photos he did with Griffin that immediately came under fire from people on Twitter. The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr, called the imagery “disgusting but not surprising.”
