Ivanka just came out with a stunning announcement we think you’ll love her for —

To mark the beginning of Purim, a Jewish holiday that began 2,500 years ago, Ivanka shared an adorable picture of her and her children baking hamentashen.

The pastries, often filled with prune or other fruits, translates to “Haman’s ears” and are unique to the Purism festival.

Her loving Instagram photo was shared with the caption:

“After-school fun making hamentashen for Purim with Arabella and Joseph.”

What’s the significance of this?

While Ivanka has never shied away from sharing family pictures, she has been reluctant to talk about her faith.

Now she’s standing TALL for her faith in a stunning move.

She converted to Judaism in 2009 before marrying husband Jared Kushner. For her, her faith is a deeply personal topic.

However, in an interview with Vogue Magazine, the first daughter shared what her faith means to her.

“I always shied away from it being a public conversation because it’s such a personal thing… We’re pretty observant, more than some, less than others. I just feel like it’s such an intimate thing for us… It’s been such a great life decision for me. I am very modern, but I’m also a very traditional person, and I think that’s an interesting juxtaposition in how I was raised as well.”

Blueprint for Family Connectivity

Ivanka and Jared make a point to reserve Friday through Saturday for their children and each other saying they don’t do anything but “spend time with each other.” They also don’t take phone calls unless it is an extreme emergency.

Although hesitant to discuss her faith in detail, Ivanka has not been afraid to speak-up for religious freedom. In the wake of the recent anti-Semitic vandalism at Jewish cemeteries, Ivanka tweeted her condemnation.

The successful wife, and mother of three, has often contributed her success to the strength she receives from her family and her Jewish faith saying:

“It’s an amazing thing when you’re so connected, to really sign off. We don’t do anything except play with each other, hang out with one another, go on walks together. Pure family.”
