A Louisiana native and Outdoor Channel TV star recently plead guilty to poaching.

The Robertsons know what it’s like to star in a hunting show on Outdoor Channel — that’s how they got their start before hitting it big on Duck Dynasty.
Apparently, the pressures of stardom hit one host harder than the rest.
The host of the show Wildgame Nation and a former chairman of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission, Billy Busbice, plead guilty to a couple different illegal hunting practices.
Here’s what happened…

In October 2016, some hunters saw Busbice committing the crimes and told Chris Baird, a Wyoming game warden.
“The hunters told me that on the morning of Oct. 15, they observed a man hunting on the ranch,” Baird said. “Apparently, there was a younger man with the hunter who had a video camera and appeared to be filming the hunt.
“They watched the hunter shoot one elk, presumably a cow, and then shot a bull. The first elk fell within around 60 yards of where the bull went down. They observed the hunter and the cameraman walk up to look at the bull and then leave the area.”
There’s even a video of this whole thing happening.
In the video, you can see Busbice take multiple shots into a herd of elk in an attempt to kill a large bull. He accidentally hit a cow elk — a calf.
“On his fourth shot, Busbice hits the bull in the left shoulder,” Baird said.
You can then hear Busbice say, “We have to eliminate that part when I shot a cow.”
The charges are shooting an elk without a license and allowing an antlerless elk to go to waste, according to OUTDOORHUB.
His punishment? He has to pay $23,000 in fines and is not allowed to hunt in 2017 or 2018 in 45 states, including his home state of Louisiana. Also, he got an 180-day jail sentence that will be suspended if he fully obeys the law during the 18 months of his unsupervised probation.
The video of this incident is not public. But for now, you can watch Busbice hunting a whitetail deer.
