It apparently doesn’t matter to actor Robert De Niro, that Hollywood is crumbling under the weight of its hypocrisy. He works in a world of predators and sexual deviants, yet he still feels morally superior to President Trump. At a dedication ceremony at the Annual Hudson River Park Gala, he makes that perfectly clear in a vulgar rant.

Last Thursday, De Niro was attending the gala where he was honored with a park bench. However, instead of being grateful for the honor and delivering an appropriate acceptance speech, he takes aim at President Trump. “One of my pleasures will be keeping people off my bench who don’t deserve a view of the park like Donald Trump,” says De Niro.
“F… you Donald Trump. It’s a horror with this mother…er.”
Not surprisingly, liberal mayor Michael Bloomberg subtly supports De Niro’s vitriol. “It took me years before I finally got a sentence out of Bobby,” Bloomberg exclaims. “He’s not a big talker. As is usual with leftists, the mayor’s statement is not factual. De Niro is very outspoken, especially when it comes to the president.
In fact, he viciously attacked him verbally during and after the election.
In a video, De Niro talks about punching Donald Trump in the face. Additionally, he calls then-candidate Trump “blatantly stupid,” “a punk,” “a pig,” and “an embarrassment to this country.” In a second tirade after the election, De Niro walks back his threat to punch President Trump, but continues to disparage him:
“I can’t [punch Trump] now, he’s the president. And I have to respect that position, although we all know what he is. As we can see now in a lot of cities, a lot of people are getting very upset and protesting.”

Obviously, liberals like De Niro are still unhappy and protesting. Nevertheless, people are sick of hearing it. Even more so when it comes from individuals whose moral compasses are clearly broken. The many pictures of him with old pal Harvey Weinstein is just more evidence of his hypocrisy.
Incidentally, while De Niro is putting distance between himself and his longtime friend (and condemning President Trump,) he has yet to publicly denounce Weinstein’s actions. Maybe he’ll do that in person while they enjoy the beautiful view from his park bench. Then again, maybe he won’t.
