In the countryside, you never really know what could happen. Like recently — two farmers found an unlikely animal herding their cattle.

Farmer Adrienne and her husband were making their regular ride to make sure their livestock were doing alright, as any good farmer would do.
But what they saw next baffled them to no end. It’s never been seen before.
“Our ranch is full of wildlife and the cattle are very used to sharing the land with the wildlife around them,” Adrienne said. “But this kind of interaction I don’t think either of us have ever seen before.”
Their 150 cows were following a single beaver as it meandered across the field. The beaver was leading the cattle like a dog would. Some of the cows approached the little animal, only to lurch backward in uncertainty.
“So this all took place on Good Friday when my husband and I were out checking on the heifers,” Adrienne said. “And it has absolutely never happened before.”
After a good ten minutes of this, the beaver slipped underneath a fence and waddled off. But the cows just stood there, staring through the fence, according to the farmers.
“Beavers are very common,” Adrienne said. “Our area has a lot of wetland … so that means a lot of beavers. And it is the time of year right now where they’re maybe getting a little crowded in one pond so they head off to look for the next lakefront properties.”
This is like Babe but with a beaver. Do I smell a new kids movie in the works?
“This guy just was in the right place at the right time to become a bit of an internet superstar,” she said.
