Some New York artists have united to protest the Trump family with a campaign called “Dear Ivanka.”

The uproar was started by the Halt Action Group (HAG). It was founded by art curator Alison Gingeras, Jonathan Horowitz, and art dealer Bill Powers, along with a few other members of the New York art scene. 

Dear Ivanka…

“Dear Ivanka, We need to talk about your dad,” is plastered across the top of the page, over a seductive picture of Ivanka Trump. The short letter reads as follows:

Dear Ivanka,

Racism, anti-Semitism, misogyny, and homophobia are not acceptable anywhere—least of all in the White House.

Steve Bannon has no place in the White House. Jeff Sessions has no place in the White House. Talk of a Muslim registry has no place in the White House.

Hate has no place in the White House.

We refuse to “wait and see”. We look to you as the voice of reason.

This hatred is being plastered online as well as along various social media accounts. Ivanka is standing in front of these famous pictures in her home, either posing alone or with her children.

In response to this simple image, artist Alex Da Corte has written, “Dear @Ivankatrump, please get my work off of your walls. I am embarrassed to be seen with you.”

Other artists contributed to the nonsense, and there was even a rally by HAG on November 28, 2016, held outside of the Puck building in Manhattan. Their “clever” picket signs read…
