Who Will Pay For The Wall?
Border Patrol| Photo Credit CNBC In an interview with ABC’s David Muir, President Donald Trump hinted at the fact that Americans may pay for the border wall, but then later be reimbursed by Mexico. Trump clarified the statement to Muir, but didn’t reveal every detail.
“Are you going to direct U.S. funds to pay for this wall?” asked Muir in a clip before the interview premiered. “Will American taxpayers pay for the wall?” Trump didn’t give a specific answer yet, but did respond briefly in their promo.
“Ultimately, it will come out of what’s happening with Mexico,” said the President. “We’re going to be starting those negotiations relatively soon, and we will be in a form reimbursed by Mexico.”
This is usually when liberals jump to question Trump’s plans. Muir even said, “So they’ll pay us back?” in regards to Mexico. This is another aspect from Trump that infuriates Liberals the media. They don’t understand that some actions need to be taken outside of the media to be effective, but they can be reported later.
“So the American taxpayer will pay for the wall at first?” pressed the interviewer. Trump responded, “All it is, is we’ll be reimbursed at a later date from whatever transaction we make from Mexico,” confirmed President Trump.
However, Mexico might be rethinking their position right about now.

Muir went on to say that the President of Mexico said they would not go against their “dignity” and pay for the wall. “He has to say that,” responded Trump in a simple, logistic mindset.
Trump didn’t give any further specifics but did say they would repay America for the wall, even if that meant a “complicated form” of payment. It’s not clear if these means through taxation or other methods not previously mentioned by Trump.
Either way, plans will start “immediately” and construction may begin in “months.”
