Sanctuary Cities — Utopian Oasis or Danger Zones?
Contrary to the name, sanctuary cities are not a utopian oasis. They are safe-havens for illegal, and often dangerous, criminals. Cities where rule of law is boldly disregarded. Those who defend these cities profess to be champions of immigrants seeking a better life. But, much like the people they protect, they too are criminals.
As part of their scheme to destabilize the country, the left created sanctuary cities in an effort to boost their number of supporters. Being able to flee whatever turmoil life is handing you in your country, and moving to the U.S. sounds like paradise doesn’t it? For millions of illegals it is exactly that. For American citizens, not so much.
Americans Killed in Sanctuary Cities
In July, 2015, American, Kate Steinle, was murdered in San Francisco, one of the largest sanctuary cites. One minute she was sharing a walk along Pier 14 with her father, and two hours later she was gone. Her killer was Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, a homeless illegal immigrant. Sanchez had previously been deported back to Mexico five times.
17 year-old, Jameil Shaw II, was killed in 2008 by gang member Pedro Espinoza. Espinoza is an illegal immigrant that had just been released from jail on gun charges. The murder happened in Los Angeles, another large sanctuary city.

Truth is, there are too many stories to list them all. They are, African-American, Hispanic, and Caucasian. Men, women, children, all American citizens, and all murdered by illegal immigrants. The Remembrance Project was created to honor victims and to call attention to the rising threat posed by illegal immigration. They support Donald Trump’s immigration plan. Democrats do not. They continue to clutch their rhetoric about gun crimes, while conveniently ignoring crimes committed by illegal aliens.
Officials Refusing to Enforce the Law
Recently, stories have emerged about liberal politicians and law enforcement officials, refusing to end sanctuary cities. According to U.S. News, NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, and Seattle’s Ed Murray have all vowed not to cooperate with Trump’s immigration reform.
LAPD Chief Charlie Beck had this to say about enforcing Trump’s immigration laws:
“I don’t intend on doing anything different. We are not going to engage in law enforcement activities solely based on somebody’s immigration status. We are not going to work in conjunction with Homeland Security on deportation efforts. That is not our job, nor will I make it our job.” Source.
Chief Beck, among others, seems to be confused about his responsibilities. Police are supposed to enforce the law. They should be protecting and serving the law-abiding citizens in their respective communities.

Miami, LA, San Francisco, Denver, Washington, D.C., Detroit. All sanctuary cities, and all of them voted for Hillary Clinton. Sanctuary = Votes.
Living in this country is an opportunity. Doing it illegally is a crime. We cannot stand for politicians and law enforcement officials who put innocent American lives at risk to further their agendas. America cannot afford to become a safe-haven for criminals and despots. Donald Trump defeated one tyrant. Let’s hope that our president-elect can defeat the rest and finally secure our borders.
