Shocking new allegations concerning the Trump-Russia probe are leading top GOP members to consider a new investigation this week. Representatives Trey Gowdy, Devin Nunes, and Bob Goodlatte are pushing for the release of the FISA memo and a second special counsel.
Additionally, during the recent government shutdown, the House Intelligence Committee provided lawmakers an allegedly damaging memo. According to several Republicans who read the documents, the memo outlines serious abuse in government surveillance practices.
Accompanying that bombshell news, the Justice Department released an additional 400 pages of text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. In one particular exchange, the pair appeared to confirm that the outcome of the Hillary Clinton email probe was predetermined.
In case that isn’t enough to raise suspicions, there are texts that mention an anti-Trump group within the FBI. The collaborative reportedly met the day after the election to plot the downfall of the president-elect.
“The thousands of texts @TGowdySC and I reviewed today revealed manifest bias among top FBI officials against @realDonaldTrump. The texts between Strzok and Page referenced a ‘secret society’,” Rep. John Ratcliffe tweeted.
Worse still, the FBI supposedly “lost” a block of text messages covering the period between December 2016 and May 2017. That time-frame was crucial to the Trump-Russia investigation. The bureau is blaming the missing texts on “technical issues.”
Not surprisingly, these new revelations are prompting the GOP to take a closer look. After meeting to discuss the developments, Congressman Gowdy and his colleagues released the following statement:
Credibility and Objectivity
Suffice it to say, 2018 is shaping up to be an explosive year in politics. And based on this information, which is likely just the tip of the iceberg, Democrats are in trouble. Although, we wouldn’t be shocked to find some RINOS caught up in this mess either.
Nevertheless, there’s a reason the left has been working so hard to oust Trump. In conclusion, contrary to their claims, it’s not his policies on illegal immigration or refugees. Furthermore, nor is it racism, sexism, or anything else they put forward. Ultimately, they were afraid of the president exposing their lies, corruption, and Clinton cover-up.
