Tim and Faith know how to steal a show. The Nashville power couple commands an undeniable chemistry between them, along with their beautiful voices. And what’s amazing is how much they have grown as performers since their start–because they were incredible to begin with. 20 years after their first ACM performance, the two stunned the audience with their “Speak to a Girl”.

The Academy of Country Music Awards occurred in early April to celebrate the work of artists from the prior year. In addition to the trophies, there were, of course, amazing performances. The first time that Tim and Faith performed together at the ACM Awards was in 1997. At that show they sang their first duet, “It’s Your Love.” That crossover hit gave a major boost to both of their careers. The song reached No. 1 on¬†Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in just five weeks. It also went to the Top Ten on the pop charts.

Besides that, it opened the door for both of them to produce more crossover hits, including Faith Hill‘s “This Kiss.” When they performed it at that show more than 20 years ago, they received a wonderful reception.

But their performance two decades later was even better.
