The Walking Dead Actress Has Her Baby

After actress Christian Serratos revealed her first baby, many fans of The Walking Dead assume that the actress who plays Rosita will be missing a few episodes as Season 8 prepares for AMC.

The actress welcomed her new baby around Mother’s Day, and then on Father’s Day, she revealed that baby was a girl. Serratos used Instagram for both photos as she sent them out for millions of fans to see.

The Walking Dead Season 8 started up in April, so it’s likely that Serratos’ childbirth will have delayed her work schedule in one way or another.

Comic Book writes:

“The 100th overall episode which will premiere in October will be an action-heavy extravaganza as Rick leads the communities in a charge against Negan and the Saviors. “Where it says it’s all out war, you definitely get that,” Simon actor Steven Ogg told ComicBook.com about Season 8.

“Oh yeah. It’s all out war.” With such sequences ahead, an actress preparing for childbirth and then recovering from it might have a hard time keeping up with the often 14-hour production days in the Georgia sun.”

“It’s not impossible — Sonequa Martin-Green kept her pregnancy a secret from Sasha during an earlier season of the series but this seems to more like Alanna Masterson’s Tara, who was sent on a multi-season long supply run to allow the actress time with her child.”

Despite these speculations, Serratos did do a great deal of work while carrying the baby and keeping it a secret from the public. The only real difference was that some fans noticed she was wearing baggier midriff clothing than unusual. When she was wearing a gun, it was a little more obvious that she had a bump.

Whatever happens, it’s likely that Rosita will play a major role in Negan’s War, even if she misses the first episode or two.

Do you think we’ll see Rosita in the premiere this October?
