For the entirety of Season 7 on The Walking Dead, fans have been wondering when Carol and Morgan would prepare for battle. Carol had tried to leave the group several times, but they keep knocking on her door.

After Benjamin died and Morgan snapped, Carol finally decided that enough was enough. She joined King Ezekiel in the Kingdom and was there to help Alexandria when they needed her most.

During the show’s hiatus, actress Melissa McBride thinks back on the past sixteen episodes.

She just had to go to either save herself or just do away with herself.”

Carol tried to hide, but she’s too vital for the groups.
