Emotional Cast Talks About Andrew Lincoln Leaving The Walking Dead
Touching words and middle fingers for Andrew Lincoln...
“He’s not dead,” said Norman Reedus about his co-star Andrew Lincoln. At Comic Con, there were a lot of upset fans in the crowd when Robert Kirkman and Andrew Lincoln confirmed Rick Grimes would say goodbye in Season 9 of The Walking Dead. In one panel with Kevin Smith, a few cast members said “Goodbye.”
“I’ve shared a trailer with him for almost a decade,” said Reedus, better known as Daryl Dixon. “He’s been my best friend on set for a long, long time. It’ll be rough, but he has really set the bar for all of us. I think when all of us come on the show, Andy is the first one who says ‘Hello,’ and he’s been our quarterback.”
“Every single day, he’s the guy that psyches you up. He’s the guy that makes weird sounds that gets you pumped to do the scene.” “LU FU, Andy,” said Norman Reedus. “That was ridiculously horrible,” joked Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
“I will say, on one of my knives this season, I have a little ‘LU FU’ on the knife blade and I gave him one as a little present. So whenever I flip out a certain switchblade, it’s got a little ode to Andy on it…”
In addition to Reedus, Danai Gurira (Michonne), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) also said heartfelt words about Lincoln’s exit.
