Over the past few seasons, the writers behind The Walking Dead have taken aspects away from Daryl Dixon. He came in as a badass loner who was able to track, fight, kill, and hunt. His street smarts and blunt personality made him an icon, where fans would often say, “If Daryl dies, we riot.” But he’s not as strong as he once was.

Do Not Send Us Astray

Daryl Dixon started to show off some of his vulnerabilities, but that’s a good thing. He got really close with Carol, became “brothers” with Rick Grimes, and recently opened up to Maggie about their mutual loss of Glenn Rhee. But, the rioting fans behind Daryl are likely thinking of what once was.

So how can the show make Daryl Dixon the icon he once was?
