Remember when Phil Robertson exercised his First Amendment rights and expressed his views on same-sex marriage? Yeah, that led to a lawsuit.

Phil RobertsonPhil Robertson did not give up on his dream of making the best duck call ever (source: The Gospel Herald) “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there,” Phil had told GQ magazine in 2013. “Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

This urged an activist named Chris Sevier to file a lawsuit — against President Barack Obama.

Sevier sued A&E and Obama after the network suspended Phil Robertson for his remarks. In the lawsuit, Sevier — who says he’s a member of Phil’s church, White’s Ferry Road Church — said the president is involved. He said the suspension will have a “chilling effect” on other people at the church. The lawsuit states Obama and A&E are attempting to advance their pro-gay agenda.

Sevier has also sued Apple stating they didn’t protect him from his porn addiction. So it’s not surprising that…

The 2013 lawsuit was eventually dropped.

Phil RobertsonPhil Robertson has a lot of supporters around the country. One place where’s got at least two is a town near Lancaster, Pa., where he received a pair of write-in votes in the 2016 presidential election.

Phil has also made points about the state of our nation, which has probably garnered him some loyal fans. In addition to his appearance on Duck Dynasty, of course.

“Liberty begins and ends in a nation, with God,” he said. “God who gave us life, gave us liberty. God did.”

That liberty allowed one Phil Robertson fan to sue the president. What a unique country we have.
