Over the past weekend Jim Parsons discreetly married Todd Spiewak in an intimate and romantic reception at the Rainbow Room in NYC.

Page Six reported that Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak tied the knot at the Rainbow Room in New York City on April 13th in front of friends and family.
The Rainbow Room is located above Rockefeller Plaza in midtown New York, and is a famous landmark in the city. Celebrities including Jane Krakowski frequently perform and host events there. The venue also frequently hosts weddings. Their website states, “Embark on life’s greatest adventure enveloped in romance and glamour. Magical moments are captured against a sparkling backdrop of city lights and expertly tailored event design.”
Jim and Todd have been dating for nearly 15 years now. Jim came out to the public in 2012. He famously appeared on Broadway and in the film The Normal Heart, and spoke with Ellen in 2014 about the importance of his role to the gay community and the AIDs awareness movement. Jim even thanked Ellen for her bravery and championship for the gay community saying, “I and many people stand on your shoulders.”
Apparently at Jim’s wedding there were no cell phones allowed. Mayim Bialik posted the above instagram with the caption, “What a wedding. Not a cell phone in sight. Everyone was so present which sounds pretentious but it was truly powerful for us all to just want to be there fully.” Perhaps Kunal Nayyar, who is currently on a social media hiatus, suggested the phone ban to his costar. Mayim added, “Also: hands down, prettiest chupah ever.”

Jim Parson’s wedding comes coincidentally after his onscreen character Sheldon Cooper proposed to Amy Farrah Fowler in the season 10 finale of Big Bang Theory. We still don’t know if Amy will say yes to Sheldon, but we are so glad that Todd and Jim said yes to each other.
