Phil Robertson On Modern Sins
Duck Dynasty | Photo Credit A&E For 11 years, Duck Dynasty has been delighting audiences, while also angering non-supporters. On camera, the show focused on duck calls, hunting, and long beards. Off camera, however, there was often controversy.
In 2013, GQ published an interview where Phil Robertson made anti-gay comments by calling homosexuality a sin. This sparked a great deal of outrage and A&E even temporarily removed him from his own show.
Later, he said, “I’m as much of a homophobe as Jesus was,” defending his comments with the Holy Bible.

Then, in March 2015, Phil Robertson stirred up some more controversy when he condemned atheists. He gave a speech to the Vero Beach Prayer Breakfast where he condemned atheists with a hypothetical story.
The story involved an atheist being forced to watch his daughters and wife being raped and then killed. This outraged more non-fans, but those who follow Phil understand his “no-atheists-in-foxholes- scenario.
Then, the reality star moved on to discuss his thoughts on ISIS.

Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Phil Robertson his thoughts on the terrorist group, ISIS. The 2015 interview was set up to promote the book, unPHILtered: The Way I See It, so it seemed like a safe time to tell his real thoughts.
“In this case, you either have to convert them, which I think would be next to impossible. I’m not giving up on them, but I’m just saying either convert them or kill them,” said Phil.
“I’d much rather have a Bible study with all of them and show them the error of their ways and point them to Jesus Christ. However, if it’s a gunfight and a gunfight alone, if that’s what they’re looking form, me personally, I am prepared for either one…”
What do you really think about Phil’s “controversial” comments?
