Two days after Islamic terrorists drove a van into a crowd of pedestrians on the London Bridge, President Trump said enough is enough. At least seven people were killed in the terrorist attack, and more than 48 were wounded. The president tweeted his support for London on Sunday.
“Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U.K., we will be there – WE ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS!”
However, he also commented on the need to stop being politically correct and to start acknowledging the problem at hand. “We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people,” Trump remarked. “If we don’t get smart it will only get worse.”
President Trump also took aim at London’s Muslim Mayor, Sadiq Khan, who told citizens they shouldn’t be “worried” about the large police presence following the attack. “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is no reason to be alarmed!” said the president.
Khan is the first Muslim elected to lead a major Western capital and he has been sharply criticized for his lax attitude regarding Islamic terrorism. In fact, in 2016 Khan warned then presidential candidate Trump that his “ignorant view” of Islam could prompt…
U.S. Terror Attacks
“Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both of our countries less safe,” he stated. “It risks alienating mainstream Muslims around the world and plays into the hands of extremists.” “Donald Trump and those around him think that Western liberal values are incompatible with mainstream Islam-London has proved him wrong,” he added.
Sadly, it has been Khan’s lack of response to Islamic terrorism that has cost many innocent citizens their lives. President Trump also tweeted about the need to reinstate his travel ban after the attack, in order to ensure the safety of Americans. Naturally, he was quickly attacked by the left.
“We need to be smart, vigilant, and tough,” the president tweeted. “We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!” After the tweet, CNN commentator, Reza Aslan, bashed the president saying, “This piece of s**t is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency, he is an embarrassment to humankind.”
