2A Smile and a Handshake

Photo credit: CNN In the early days of his disastrous presidency, Obama made a trip to the Middle East to visit with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman. However, the visit wasn’t the story. The real story was about Obama bowing to the king. A move that would both literally and figuratively underscore his legacy as a weak president.

Thankfully, those days are over and President Trump is restoring American exceptionalism on the global stage. Trump arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, marking his first trip to Middle East since he took office in January. And he greeted King Salman as the leader of the free world should-with a smile and a handshake.

After stepping off Air Force One, King Salman appeared to bow slightly to President Trump while shaking his hand. Meanwhile, the president stood tall and confident. Standing next to him was First Lady, Melania Trump, who was also proudly wearing her down for all to see. She wasn’t sporting the traditional Muslim hijab.
