Did You Catch Obama’s EPIC LIE About Health Care In His Farewell Address?
AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster During his Farewell Address, Obama said the word “I” 33 times, “My” 20 times, “Me” 10 times, and “I’m” or some version of “I’ve” another twelve times. Besides these 75 referrals to himself, he also slipped into one epic lie about health care.
While speaking about some of his “achievements” during his eight-year presidency, Obama said that health care costs were “Rising at the slowest rate in 50 years.” This sounds nice, but it’s not even close to being true.

The cost of a doctor appointment, health insurance, and medicine in general, rose more in August 2016 than any other time since 1984. In addition, the Kaiser Family Foundation has reported that family health care plans will grow more in 2017 than the rate of wages.
It’s difficult to say where this delusion comes from (other than an applause effect) since Obama’s administration said that insurance premiums would rise by a staggering double-digit percentage this year.
In addition, premiums will go up about 25 percent across 39 states and it’s likely that 20 percent of Americans will only have one option for insurance to choose from, thanks to Obama.

The price of medical care has increased by 4 percent between November 2015 and November 2016, while health insurance and the cost of prescription drugs have also grown by 6 percent during this span of time, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Hopefully, this will be Obama’s last lie to the American people, but it’s likely he’ll sneak in one or two more before Trump’s inauguration.
