After five years being reality TV celebrities, what are Phil and Miss Kay doing nowadays?

Is it even a show at all?

Nope, it’s none of those things. After 11 seasons on television, Phil and Miss Kay are calling it quits. They’re going to live the normal life.

They’re going back to the life they had before the show. Phil is going to spend his time in the woods, getting ready for duck season, and Miss Kay spends the day at home, often cooking a ton of food.

“I’ll stay in the woods until about dinner time,” Phil told KNOE. “I have to make sure my duck blinds are ready for duck season. I have a lot of duck blinds — like 70.”

In November 2016, the Robertson clan announced they’d be leaving TV. Although Jep and Jessica got their own show, the rest of the family is choosing to stay off the air.

“I for one was thankful it ended,” Phil said. “There’s a lot more to doing these TV shows than most people realize.”

Miss Kay, who was known as just Kay before the show started, is also pleased to be back to her regular lifestyle.

“Well, you see how I’m dressed — tennis shoes, comfortable clothes,” she said. “That changed. I still have a closet full of beautiful clothes that I wore on the TV show.”

But it’s the simple things in life that bring joy. Kay knows this well nowadays.

“My favorite thing — I can just not turn an alarm on,” she said.
