Jon Bernthal Talks Wind River

Shane Walsh-actor Jon Bernthal appears to be everywhere. He’s perhaps best known for his roles on The Walking Dead, Sicario, and The Wolf of Wall Street, but this is only the beginning.

Earlier this summer, he made a special appearance in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver and he’s scheduled to be in Pilgrimage later this fall. In between those major films, he’s also landed a role as The Punisher for Netflix.

Somewhere, he even found the time to steal a scene in Wind River.

Jon Bernthal and Taylor Sheridan originally worked together for Sicario, back in 2015. Since then, the actor has been in several films and writer-director Taylor Sheridan penned Hell or High Water which received several Oscar nods.

In Wind River, Bernthal and Sheridan have teamed up once again. The official description reads, “An FBI agent teams with a town’s veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation.”

The film is unlike anything else in theaters this summer.

Wind River reminds viewers a little of Winter’s Bone, which was Jennifer Lawrence’s first big break. Rather than showcasing a poor town, Wind River showcases an Indian Reservation.

The actor’s role is small but iconic. In the video above, he reveals a few truths about his character but tries to hold the plot for the viewer. Essentially, his character seems to be one thing but turns out to be another.

The film is beautifully shot and remarkable in its subject matter. When a young girl goes missing, an FBI agent asks for a “hunter of predators” to help her track down the girls’ killer or killers.
