The day we’ve dreaded has finally come. Specifically, Wednesday the 29th has come.

The final episode of the final season of Duck Dynasty has aired. The show is now gone forever. But, fortunately, Sadie Robertson provides a ray of sunshiny thankfulness amidst this trial.

On that Wednesday night, she was very excited to let everyone know that the last episode was on TV.

“HEY YOU!!! Did you know the FINALE OF [Duck Dynasty] IS ON !!!!!! AHHHHH,” she wrote on Instagram. “This is insane.”

During her excitement, she reminded her followers that being thankful is key to a happy life, even without Duck Dynasty.

“I’m so thankful for everything the show has done for me and my family,” she wrote. “LOVE YOU ALL. Thanks for making a show with a prayer at the end of it the most watched reality TV show on cable.”

The show has done a lot for their family, including book deals, roles in movies, the booming success of their companies, Duck Commander and Buck Commander. But all that success doesn’t ever get in the way of the most important thing — relationships.

The show ended with an hour-long finale paying homage to Uncle Si. In the episode (titled “End of an Era”), the family throws a big party for Si as he announces his retirement from Duck Commander and moving into the world of country music.

Preview of the season finale, “End of an Era”:

From the very first episode, Duck Dynasty has provided such great entertainment for so many years. Even Yahoo! says the show is “one of the most successful non-scripted cable shows of all time.”

Dang. What a legacy to have.

“We are forever grateful that we got to be in y’all homes throughout the past 5 years,” Sadie concluded.
