Country star Jason Aldean issued a statement following the tragic events in Las Vegas where 30,000 concert-goers became targets. The tragedy is hailed as the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history.

Monday, Jason said on Instagram, “My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight,” he wrote. “It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.” 

His wife, Brittany Aldean, posted a statement asking for “prayers for Vegas.” She also wrote, “We are safe . . . Our angels were definitely watching over us tonight. No words for what happened . . . Just horrific. Praying for everyone.”  

Festival history

The Harvest 91 festival began in 2014.  From the start, big names included Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Blake Shelton. 

The event billed as a #ThreeDayNeonSleepover, kicked off on Friday night, with Eric Church. Saturday followed with performances including Maren Morris, Sam Hunt, and Bret Young.
