The 2016 election season is rolling towards, what will inevitably be, a thunderous close.
Those who have spent the last eight years waiting for change that never came are patiently waiting to see if Wednesday begins anew with President Donald Trump leading the way. Perhaps the most important presidential election since the days of Abraham Lincoln, the future of America hangs in the balance as the fight between good and evil rages on.
Reminiscent of both the 1860’s and the 1960’s, racial divides are saturating the news. Once prosperous metropolitan cities like Detroit now stand decimated as a result of failed liberal economic policies. The military has been denied the necessary resources to effectively fight our enemies at home and abroad. American businesses are leaving the country in record numbers. The number of food stamp recipients has risen significantly. The threat of global terrorism has reached dangerous heights. Once revered by our allies and adversaries alike, we are now the laughing stock of the global community.
This is the legacy of the Obama administration and it will be Hillary Clinton’s legacy too.
That is, unless the American people take back control and elect Donald Trump as their next Commander-In-Chief.
Trump’s legacy will be quite different. He will bring jobs back to America, create a healthcare plan that works, secure our borders, serve our veterans and active-duty military personnel, preserve our constitutional freedoms and, by extension, democracy. He will invest in education, stop the flow of illegal guns and drugs into the country, and eliminate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism. He will do all of this to ensure that America is safe and prosperous for our children and grandchildren.
This is the America that many of us voting on November 8th fondly remember and have missed as much as a long-lost friend, an America that young voters have never had the privilege of knowing.
As we wake up tomorrow morning and go about our day, we will eagerly and with prayerful spirits, hope that the America of today will not be the America that greets us tomorrow.
