If you are a fan of the Big Bang Theory or Kaley Cuoco in general, then you know that Kaley is an avid animal lover. In fact, she recently participated in a charity for pit bulls. You can read about that here.
It seems like Cuoco has a particularly special bond with horses, though. Kaley is a very frequent horseback rider and her beau, Karl Cook, even does it for a living. It seems as if one of Kaley’s favorite horses is up for retirement.

Kaley recently posted a picture of herself with the horse, Thor, on her Instagram account. She expressed her sadness over Thor’s retirement, but also about her being happy that Thor can frolic more often with his fellow horse, Uvar. Unusual names, huh?
“I am so excited for his future, running around grass fields with his pal, Uvar, and never having to jump again. After all, he has given, he deserves it!” she wrote.
Horses And Friendship
Cuoco went on to thank her friend, Jamie Marquez, for taking care of Thor for the last couple of years. In addition to her current partner, Kaley is also a professional horseback rider. She regularly competes and even shares clips on her social media accounts.
A few months ago, she shared a photo of her first horse, Santos, which she bought eight years ago. “I bought you 8 years ago as my modified jumper, and you turned into my first 1.30 jumper – you are the reason I am so in love with this sport – thank you,” she wrote.
Horses and Romance
As mentioned before, Cuoco shares her passion and love of horses with boyfriend, Karl Cook. But Cook almost quit the sport in 2012 and was going through a rough time. According to The Chronicle of the Horse, Cook was showing bad performances during that year, remarking, “His horses weren’t at their best, and he just couldn’t seem to find clear rounds, no matter how high the jumps stood.” Luckily, he decided to stick with the sport, and a few years later, he met Cuoco.
Cuoco confirmed that the two were dating with a sweet picture on her Instagram account. The picture was taken earlier this year. They also made their red carpet debut together this year as well. What an interesting first year for the couple!
Conclusion
It is sad when we have to say goodbye to an old friend, animal or not. I’m sure Kaley can and will visit Thor in his “happy horsey” retirement home. She can also take comfort in knowing that he’ll be able to have fun with Uvar and rest as well. Maybe she could even still ride him on her visits from time to time.
