All eyes are on Sadie Robertson now. We sincerely want to know what she thinks of her grandfather, Phil Robertson’s latest remarks about Beyonce’s music. Sadie is a young girl who enjoys pop-culture and Top-40 hits. Would she really agree with her grandfather when he says that Beyonce’s music causes STD’s?
Is Sadie Robertson Different From Her Grandfather?
Phil Robertson recently made waves when he suggested that Beyonce’s music is to blame for the sexually transmitted diseases in America. During an interview with Independent Journal Review Phil was asked to react to quite a few Top-40 songs.
While listening to Beyonce’s Blow, the Duck Dynasty patriarch said, “And you wonder why 110 million of us have a sexually transmitted disease at any given time?” He looked visibly in pain as he heard the catchy tune. However, he didn’t stop there. He added, “So according to God, the Center for Disease Control and me, don’t listen to that chick. She will lead you down a path into the microbe world. She’ll take you down a path you don’t want to go down… Boys, look out, the microbes are coming. They will rot your genitals off…”
We couldn’t believe what we were hearing. We wouldn’t expect Phil to be a huge fan of Beyonce, but to equate her music with a national disease epidemic is EXTREME. We couldn’t help but wonder…What does Sadie Robertson think of this?
Sadie Robertson’s Venture Into Pop-Culture
Sadie Robertson is famous for being on Duck Dynasty, but she’s also created her own brand. The star’s company Live Original boasts a book, and tour, all about not succumbing to the pressures and temptations of teenage and young adult years.
However, Sadie also appeared on Dancing With The Stars, a huge pop-culture phenomenon, where she danced to many top-40 songs. We also should point out she was dancing with a man.
Plus, recently Sadie dove even deeper into the music industry. She appeared alongside 31-year-old Brett Eldredge in his Long Way music video. If Phil takes issue with Beyonce, wouldn’t he also take issue with his 20-year-old granddaughter playing the love interest of a 31-year-old? And for that matter, wouldn’t Sadie disagree with her grandfather, that popular music will cause sexually transmitted diseases?
We’d love to be at the dinner table when this comes up. How do you think Sadie Robertson will react to Phil Robertson’s comments?
