Donald Trump

Without any apparent hesitation, Donald Trump weighed in on the backlash against San Francisco 49er’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick after refusing to stand for the national anthem.

BuzzFeed is reporting that in a conservative radio talk show interview, Donald Trump explained, “I have followed [the Colin Kaepernick story] and I think it’s personally not a good thing,” Trump replied.

“I think it’s a terrible thing, and you know, maybe he should find a country that works better for him. Let him try, it won’t happen.”

Critics of Trump immediately lashed out and said that Trump, should basically agree with the entitled quarterback. After all, Trump wants to make American Great again. Which could only mean that Trump thinks America is as bad as Kaepernick says it is.

Which just shows that his detractors don’t really listen to what Donald Trump is actually saying.

They can’t see the difference between someone who loves America, like Donald Trump–who wants to bring out her best

. And between someone like Kaepernick, who hates America, and just wants to make a point.

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,”

Kaepernick said.

“To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Of course, Kaepernick hasn’t told us where to find the bodies. He leaves us to imagine that he is referring to the criminals shot by police. We don’t leave bodies in the street. Murder, crimes, and lawlessness have consequences in a country of laws.

Black or white– reach for a police officer’s gun, you will get shot.

It’s that simple. Kaepernick expounded on Sunday to reporters how his display of lack of respect wasn’t intentionally timed to the presidential race–because doesn’t support either Hillary or Trump.

“You have Hillary, who has called black teens or black kids superpredators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist,”

Kaepernick said.

“We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?”

At this point, I’m not so sure he would understand the concept. It’s called respect and gratitude.

What Donald Trump was saying, is that this is the greatest country Kaepernick will ever find. There is no such thing as a perfect country, not as long as there are people in them.

Yet, in this imperfect so-called racist country, this man was taken in by parents and adopted him, when his parents rejected him. He received an education, and became a millionaire by throwing a ball.
