After the third presidential debate where Donald Trump destroyed Hillary Clinton, mainstream media attacked Donald Trump for saying that he wouldn’t accept the results of the election outcome.  Democrats and Republicans are worried about this because they see it as an un-peaceful resolve to electing a president.  Well, he did say that he wouldn’t freak out about it if the outcome was clear.  Now, Trump decided to soothe mainstream media.  At a rally in Delaware, Ohio he said, “I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election — if I win.”

Donald Trump said that George W. Bush might have lost to Al Gore in 2000 if he swore that he wouldn’t challenge results.

Confidence

Trump explained, “Of course I would accept a clear election result, but I would also reserve my right to contest or file a legal challenge in the case of a questionable result.  I will follow and abide by all the rules and traditions of all of the many candidates who came before me, always.  Bottom line, we’re going to win.”

Trump is just behind Clinton in many important states.  Christina Reynolds, one of Clinton’s spokeswoman, said, “We can’t just beat this guy.  We’ve got to beat him so definitively that Hillary’s victory is undeniable.”

Clinton’s VP Tim Kaine says he is hoping for a mandate on the Democratic ticket so even if Trump whines about it, there will be no doubt on the outcome.  He said, “Donald is still going to whine if he loses, but if the mandate is clear, I don’t think many people will follow him.  We’re confident in the American public.”

Complaining Democrats

What are the Democrats saying?  They are now saying that he is unfit to be president.  Then Obama went to a rally in Miami and complained about Trump whining about a rigged election system.  He said, “When you try to sow the seeds of doubt in people’s minds about our elections, that undermines our democracy.  You’re doing the work of our adversaries for them.”  Obama argues that Trump is attempting to undermine the country.  Maybe he’s just stating it before they do it.

Clinton and Kaine see Trump’s comments as “horrifying” and that Trump was destroying the decorum of the past elections.  She explained, “We are a country based on laws, and we’ve had hot, contested elections going back to the very beginning.  But one of our hallmarks has always been that we accept the outcomes of our election.”

Republicans are getting on Trump for this too.  Some Republican members of Congress like Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina said that Trump was “doing the party and country a great disservice” by questioning the integrity of the election.  John McCain, Ben Sasse, and Jeff Flake voiced in on these complaints against Trump.

Well, while everyone is worried about Trump saying he won’t pat Hillary on the back if she wins, Trump has been focusing on the hacked emails.  He raised a legitimate question: “Why shouldn’t Hillary Clinton resign from the race?”  He added, “She’s a very dishonest person.”
