The 11-year old son of President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania is once again back in the spotlight. Which by the way, this has to be the last place young Barron Trump wants to be–or should be. However, an entertainment reporter for The Daily Caller recently decided to call out the boy. Why? Because Barron should dress nicer now that he’s in the White House. Photo credit: Seattle Times

Reporter, Ford Springer, took direct aim at the president’s son on Tuesday. Interestingly, the article seemed to be more about his own childhood issues than Barron’s clothing choices. “I’ve been on the Barron Trump train from the start,” wrote Springer. “But it’s about time the president’s son starts dressing the part.

What “part” is that exactly? He is a child. Not the president, not a military officer, not an executive, but an 11-year old boy. His only job is to be a kid.

Springer appeared to take issue with one specific outfit that Barron was spotted wearing while exiting Air Force One. “Barron was returning to the White House from New Jersey on Sunday, and while the president and first lady traveled in their Sunday best, young Barron looked like he was hopping on Air Force One for a trip to the movie theater,” Springer continued.

The outfit in question consisted of a red t-shirt with a shark on it (which sold out online after the picture surfaced), khaki shorts, and brown loafers.

Oh, the horror. Apparently, Springer’s parents were strict, and they made him wear suits and neckties on “special occasions.”

“Think about how many times your parents forced you to dress up when you were a kid for a special occasion. No matter how hard you resisted, it was inevitable, you weren’t leaving the house until you had your tie tied, your shirt tucked in nice and neat with your hair combed, and a blazer on.”

The problem with Springer’s assessment is that traveling on Air Force One is not a special occasion for Barron Trump. And as we have all seen, Barron does dress-up when a situation requires it. His father’s inauguration and Sunday church services being two excellent examples. A 20-minute airplane ride simply doesn’t qualify.

Children are off limits, Mr. Springer–even the president’s child. Remember Katie Rich?
