The End of the Story?
While he was no Nostradamus, American radio host Paul Harvey had an almost surreal ability to see the future. Famous for his The Rest of the Story segments on ABC, Harvey made stunning predictions about the future of America-over fifty years ago. Suffice it to say, he hit the nail right on the head.

Needless to say, his words are more than a little frightening.
In a now viral video, you can hear Harvey listing the steps that would ensure America’s eventual downfall. He starts out by tackling Christianity. “If I were the Prince of Darkness, I would want to envelop the whole world in darkness,” said Harvey. “I would take over the churches first. I’d begin with a campaign of whispers.”
Harvey continues by talking about teaching children that “the Bible is a myth” and encouraging adults to do as they please. I would convince people that man created God, instead of the other way around,” said Harvey speaking as the Devil. “I would teach older people to pray Our Father who art in Washington.”
In addition to religion, Harvey takes on today’s Hollywood liberalism, Harvey discusses the decline of tasteful books, movies, and television. He goes on to assert that raunchy, non-family programming would take the place of wholesome television shows. Remember the Last Man Standing controversy?
So far, Harvey is on the money.

Next, “the devil” hits on the significant role of drugs and alcohol in the breakdown of families and society. “I would peddle drugs to whomever I could,” he said. “I’d sell alcohol to men and women of distinction. I would tranquilize the rest with pills.” Can anyone say “opioid epidemic?
Finally, Harvey brings out the showstopper. “If I was the devil,” he lamented. “I would have families at war with themselves. I would have nations at war with themselves. Until each of them was consumed.” It’s hard to find anything untrue in Harvey’s words. In fact, this is the epitome of what’s wrong with America today.
