At a recent fundraiser, an event at which Crooked Clinton raised and collected over six million in campaign contributions, a comment that has sparked national outrage and profound regret (while not on Clinton’s part) was uttered. The compromised, crooked Democratic candidate, used the term ‘basket of deplorables’, to the dismay of her campaign and hopes for her presidency. She began with these awful, to quote Hillary’s own words, “grossly generalistic”, insulting, and calculated remarks. She then followed this with a disastrously revealing health fiasco while attending a 9/11 memorial event in New York. One thing has become perfectly clear. Hillary went from frontrunner to a basket of debacles.

It is no surprise that the event catered to an elite strata of New York City’s entertainment circle. A percentile bracket of Americans who can easily and frivolously throw 20,000 dollars into Hillary’s pocket. And what do they get in return? A picture with her which only further allows her to advance her corrupt, liberal agenda. At this event, the comment that has sparked national outrage and profound dismay even from democrats and liberals themselves, has left its mark on the Clinton campaign and Hillary’s aspirations. Not only because Clinton delivered these comments to an audience, but because she failed to apologize. She then continued by making the same comments again in a television interview.

Let one thing be clear. This was no off the cuff remark. This was written down for her to memorize. It was planned. It was then delivered so effortlessly by the very person who claims to champion the idea of ‘working together’. Hillary is quick to paint broad strokes. She characterizes Trump’s candid, albeit forthright stances on illegal immigration, drug trafficking and vetting processes for potential Islamic immigrants as xenophobic and the worst kind of bigotry. But aren’t Clinton’s remarks exactly the kind of thing she tries to convince everyone she’s fighting against? For Clinton, the lies keep piling on and there is little the media can do to stop the avalanche. The kind of ideology that places huge swathes of diverse, patriotic Americans into a basket of ‘deplorables’ is irredeemable.

After slightly recanting and adjusting her ‘deplorable’ rhetoric in an interview, Clinton issued a half-baked apology. However, she still failed to really see the point on why this was such a big deal. The comment caught on and spread like wildfire on social media, earning the hashtag #Basketofdeplorables then quickly garnered outrage from millions of Americans.

It didn’t end there though. Clinton went on to say that the myriad of Trump supporters are “irredeemable” and “un-American”. It seems the only un-American attitude here is that of Clinton and her camp’s unrelenting efforts to mischaracterize Trump again and again. But this time, she attacked millions of honest people who simply may not share her views.

“Isn’t it disgraceful that Hillary Clinton makes the worst mistake of the political season and instead of owning up to this grotesque attack on American voters, she tries to turn it around with a pathetic rehash of the words and insults used in her failing campaign?” Trump said in a statement. “For the first time in a long while, her true feelings came out, showing bigotry and hatred for millions of Americans.”

Trump took the high road. Why address the hateful, demeaning and divisive rhetoric Clinton and her team of handlers so skillfully and eagerly were willing to spread? He was poised, concise and extremely presidential. There was no need to hit back just as hard. In a recent rally that Trump hosted, he responded by saying,

“I was deeply shocked and alarmed this Friday to hear my opponent attack, slander, smear, demean these wonderful, amazing people who are supporting our campaign by the millions. Our support comes from every part of America and every walk of life. We have the support of cops and soldiers, carpenters and welders, the young and the old, and millions of working class families who just want a better future and a good job. These were the people Hillary Clinton so viciously demonized.” -Trump

While putting one’s foot in one’s mouth has been a theme in the implosion of presidential candidates in the past; Hillary’s statements were deliberate. It’s a scripted remark read from a teleprompter. A willful verbal attack against Americans, whatever their creed or colour, is beyond reproach from a presidential candidate. All the while her campaign banner at every podium still arrogantly and idiotically reads “STRONGER TOGETHER”.

The liberal media has had a field day with comments made by Donald Trump in the past. However, his comments were regarding ILLEGAL non-American aliens. These people later go on to commit violent crimes against hard-working and honest people. One person murdered by an illegal alien is one person too many. For Clinton, her statements are attacks on Americans themselves; for a presidential candidate to show contempt to any part of the American population is unfathomable. Hillary should understand that in a presidential campaign you’re trying to win votes, not lose them.
