Mayim Bialik’s new book is called Girling Up: How to Be Strong Smart and Spectacular. The description reads, “Mayim Bialik, star of The Big Bang Theory, puts her Ph.D. to work as she talks to teens about the science of growing up and getting ahead. A must-have book for all teenage girls.”

Mayim posted on her Instagram on April 19th saying, “My book about growing up female…comes out in a few weeks! I cover everything about being female from puberty to dating to school to mental health and body image to volunteering and choosing to make your life matter at any age.” Mayim has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and says the book is written from a neuroscientific, psychological, and sociological perspective.

Mayim Bialik’s new book, Girling Up, is geared towards girls ages 10-18. It’s meant to be a self-help book of sorts, a handbook on how to navigate the tough years of female adolescence. However, it seems the book would also be a great guide to parents of teenage girls, men who want to understand teenage girls and women better, and just humans in general who want to be knowledgeable about the challenges young women face.
Mayim added, “If you know a girl between the ages of 10-18 or know any grown-ups who may need this book, know that you can pre-order it on Amazon, and it’ll be shipped to them right when it comes out!”
