Will The Walking Dead Connect With Fear?

While it’s highly likely that Fear the Walking Dead will never cross over to The Walking Dead, Sunday night’s episode has some people asking questions about Madison actress Kim Dickens.

For starters, many fans are curious where Madison’s Southern accent may have come from. While she was introduced as a guidance counselor in Los Angeles, California, the character was born and raised in Alabama.

Many fans quickly realized that this could connect her to The Walking Dead.

Comic Book writes:

“Most fans of Fear the Walking Dead found it by originally being fans of The Walking Dead, which means most of the audience put together that she is the only character to have revealed a connection to the southeastern part of the country where The Walking Dead takes place.”

“Naturally, when any sort of connection can be made between two series which exist in the same universe, fans begin speculating and theorizing regarding connections. The most popular: Could Madison be related to a character on The Walking Dead? After all, it was only recently revealed that Rick Grimes has a long lost brother…”

Is Madison’s Real Name, Madison Grimes?

Originally, some thought that Madison may have been the sister of Rick Grimes. In the comic, Rick’s brother Jeff is mentioned briefly but then seemingly forgotten. However, in a book called The Walking Dead: The Alien, fans got to learn a little about Rick’s brother, Jeff Grimes.

The book followed Jeff Grimes as he took a journey through Barcelona at the beginning of the outbreak. When he set sail for America, fans realized that he was the brother of star protagonist Rick Grimes.

Similarly, Madison’s name could have changed if she were married, which is why it’s not Madison Grimes. One question though is why Rick never mentions his sister in Los Angeles, but this could be because he believes her to be dead.

Do you think there’s another living Grimes sibling out there in the world of the undead?
