In a recent Instagram post by Johnny Galecki, the actor has broken fans hearts by posting a photo with his co-star, Kaley Cuoco. The image basically said the show will soon come to an end.

Other actors have hinted that they think the show could end after Season 12, based on the fact all of the actors have only agreed to Seasons 11 and 12 so far. Kaley Cuoco and Kunal Nayyar have both addressed this.

Nayyar said it would be best to end the show “sooner rather than later.” They do not overstay their welcome.

Galecki’s message read, “Another blast of a live audience taping tonight on @bigbangtheory_cbs Just a small portion of our gorgeous audience in this shot by @a.ayers10 #cannedlaughtermyass #comeseeus.”

Twelve seasons is a long run for any show and it is always better to know when to quit (Seinfeld). Otherwise, they’re trying to hold on to something on its way out the door (Scrubs).

For TBBT, they would certainly be leaving on a high note. The show is still the highest rated comedy on television today.

Fans Do Not Want The Series To End

Fans are writing comments like “Nooooooo.” Another wrote, “OMG I’m devastated I love the Big Bang Theory and I feel I know you all – Bazinga!” Fans are shocked by the news.

Others believe there is so much more to tell. It’s true that the series could go on forever, since it lives and breathes out of pop culture references like the latest comics or Marvel films.

However, the characters are all getting older in real life. Kaley Cuoco is only around 30. Johnny Galecki is in his 40s and so are many of the other characters on the show.

In real life, Johnny Galecki may also be considering a reprisal of his role as David on the Roseanne reboot. He’s already been offered the role, alongside Roseanne Barr, Sarah Chalke, and John Goodman.

Jim Parsons will also be working as a producer and narrator for the new CBS series, Young Sheldon. Kaley Cuoco has also expressed interest in taking on other projects, such as movies.

Will you keep watching the show if they go beyond 12 seasons?
