It seems there are yoga poses for every problem in life. Try out one of these simple moves to aid digestion, and get you back to feeling great.

Are you experiencing stomach pain, uncomfortable digestion, or even heartburn? A few yoga poses can aid in these annoying problems. Poses with twists in particular help to get things moving. Freeing up space in the body will allow it to work more efficiently. You’ll be able to aid your body in turning energy into food.

First, try cat, and cow poses to get things moving. Start in a tabletop position on your hands and knees. Then hyperextend your spine, allowing your belly to drop to the floor for cat pose. Exhale deeply as you curve your back into cat. You’ll compress and lengthen your core, allowing for digestion to flow and your organs to function properly.

<p>Step your right foot forward into a low lunge and then straighten the leg. Walk your&nbsp;left foot forward 6&nbsp;inches and turn the foot at&nbsp;a 45 to 60 degree angle to the front of the mat with your&nbsp;heel flat on the earth. Rest your right hand lightly on your right shin or the floor and reach your left hand to the sky with your&nbsp;palm facing outward. Secondly, you’ll want to try triangle pose. Coming from a low lunge, straighten your front foot, creating a triangle with your legs. Reach one hand down to your shin and the other up to the sky. Focus on twisting your midsection, and breathing deeply.

Next, you’ll want to move into revolved triangle pose. Twist the core even more by switching your arms and taking your torso towards your leg. Think of your core as a dishcloth you are wringing out in the sink.

Finally, try puppy pose. You’ve probably found yourself in this position after a particularly large meal. From child’s pose arch your back and send your hips up to the sky, keeping your knees on the ground. This will allow your chest to expand, and shoulders to stretch.
