Despite the fact that not many television audiences completely keep up with network shows these days, thanks to Netflix, there were still around 8 million people watch Tim Allen’s show, Last Man Standing.

ABC has denied that they canceled the comedian’s show because of his political views, seeing as he is a Trump supporter and a Republican, but many fans of the show do not believe this statement.

“Politics had absolutely nothing to do with it,” said ABC Entertainment, even though they also revealed the show as a “high-quality show” they simply couldn’t find room for as it went into its seventh season, with syndicated back episodes as well.

No Room For 8 Million Viewers

The Daily Caller writes:

“No room on the schedule? For a show that pulled in 8 million viewers on a Friday night? It was the second most-watched comedy on ABC, after Modern Family. Meanwhile, lower-rated and presumably more expensive ABC shows like Agents of SHIELD and Once Upon a Time keep limping along, season after season, and the network keeps finding a place in the schedule for them.”

“ABC can air whatever it wants, and cancel whatever it wants. If these guys don’t want ad money from a bunch of MAGA-heads, that’s their business. Literally. But how about being honest about it? Why make half-hearted excuses for their obvious bias?”

Fox News writes:

“However, based on ratings alone, it seems the network killed one of its highest-rated shows to take a gamble on new shows like “Inhumans” which has already been trashed by critics and viewers after the trailer was released. ABC urged people to give the show a chance when it debuts September 29 saying at Sunday’s TCA panel that viewers have seen so far is “not the finished product.”

“According to Deadline, the sixth and final season of “Last Man Standing” was ABC’s second most-watched comedy with 8.1 million views, behind only the seemingly untouchable “Modern Family,” which scored 8.7 million in the same year…”
