Can Barcelona Win The First League Game Without These 3 Important Players?

After only two competitive matches, Barcelona was able to secure the first tittle of the season: Spanish Super Cup.

Even without an important player like Neymar, the team crushed Sevilla 5-0 counting both matches. Messi scored, Turan scored and Suarez scored as well:

The cup was already secured after the first away game, where Barca won 0-2.

Winning tittles is what Barca is all about. The fans were happy, and Enrique was satisfied with the way the team was playing.

Arda Turan used the absence of Neymar to the max. He wasn’t really playing to the excepted level last season, but the way he started this season is giving us a hope that he will return to his Atletico Madrid form.

His natural position is an offensive midfielder, but with players like Messi, Suarez and Neymar, Turan couldn’t challenge the MSN trio for a starting position.

Let’s just hope he continues scoring, and Enrique finds a way to fit Turan in to team.

That’s all great news for Barca fans, especially ahead of the first La Liga match of the season.

But there’s just one problem: injuries.

Iniesta was subbed after less than 10 minutes from beginning of the second Spanish Super Cup match.

Jeremy Mathieu was injured and replaced as well, and we all know Neymar will miss the first League match because of the Olympic Games.

Maybe the French defender Mathieu is not someone to worry about, but Neymar and Iniesta were both among the best players from last season.

Messi, Neymar and Suarez were all impressive in the Copa Del Rey final, but Iniesta stole the show with his simple but yet effective dribbling:

And who can forget Neymar’s goal VS Villarreal from last season:

He had a great game against the first Real Madrid match too, but this goal was simply amazing.

To put it simple, both Neymar and Iniesta are key players for Barcelona. They break defenses, score goals and assists.

That’s exactly what Barcelona needs against Real Betis to start the season with a win.

The question is, can the team handle Betis on Saturday?

Yes they can!

The absence of Neymar and Iniesta will make the match a bit harder, but Barcelona will definitely start the season with a win.

This is not the first time the team is missing an important player, but that’s how things are in football. They’ve done it before, and they will do it again.

Even without Messi, Barca dominated against Real Madrid in the last season 0-4 away win.

That’s the beauty of this team.

The Barcelona system is not based on individual skills, and everyone is involved and contributing for the team’s success.
