2 “Lying” Democrats

During Monday’s House Intelligence Meeting, South Carolina Congressman, Trey Gowdy, didn’t hold back. During his questioning of FBI Director, James Comey, he demanded answers regarding intelligence leaks that have hindered Trump’s presidency. Then he went where few others have dared to go.

Pointing out the seriousness of the leaks, and the public’s waning trust, Gowdy asked Comey if an investigation was imminent

“We the American people give certain powers to government to keep us safe. When those powers are misused…I’ll bet you my fellow citizens are rethinking their side of the equation. That US citizen could be them next time. It could be you. It could be me. It could be anyone.”

Gowdy relentlessly dogged Comey about who might be responsible for the intelligence leaks and without hesitation, named several former Obama administration officials. His list included former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, Obama Attorney General Loretta Lynch and ex-White House adviser Ben Rhodes.

Comey, visibly frustrated, admitted that each of those officials had access to the leaked information about Michael Flynn’s call to Sergei Kislyak-except for Rhodes. Leaking that intelligence is a felony punishable by 10 years in prison. Comey “promised” the FBI would take the disclosure…
