With all the talk about President Trump’s mental fitness, it’s easy to overlook exactly who the party of crazy really is. But don’t fret, because special counsel Robert Mueller is reminding everyone by setting his sights on Ivanka Trump. So what did the first daughter allegedly do to warrant an investigation? She said “hello.”

Mueller’s Russia probe is a perfect illustration of some of the madness that lingers in our country. After a year of investigating this “nothing burger,” he’s found zero evidence of collusion.

Suffice it to say, any sensible person would’ve been done with this a long time ago. But not Mueller- not by a long shot. Instead of coming to the realization that this wild Russia conspiracy theory conjured up by Democrats is a hoax, he is pressing full-steam ahead.

And he’s heading straight for Ivanka.

According to the LA Times, special counsel is concerned over an exchange of pleasantries between Ivanka and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya. If you recall, Veselnitskaya met with Trump Jr, Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort in June of 2016.

However, the first daughter did not attend the meeting. Their only “meeting” occurred as Veselnitskaya and Russian lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshi left the building. At the same time, Ivanka exited the elevator. Being a highly recognizable person, they spoke to her.

Now if you’ve been following Ivanka, then you are aware that she is an extremely kind person. She’s outgoing, friendly, and very personable. Heck, even Rosie O’Donnell liked Ivanka so much, she wrote a poem about their chance encounter. With that in mind, it stands to reason that Ivanka will not ignore someone who speaks to her.

Yet somehow, this “hello-goodbye” moment is on Mueller’s radar. Why? This is more than an overreach, it’s an act of desperation. And a desperate act for which the taxpayers are footing the tab. Talk about adding insult to injury, right?

Someone is definitely over the edge here and it isn’t Donald Trump.
