Many in the media have alleged that Melania’s silence regarding her husband’s tweets is a sign of weakness or fear. However, they couldn’t be further from the truth.

As most of you are aware, President Trump recently launched a series of tweets aimed at Morning Joe co-host, Mika Brzezinski, which created a media firestorm. The frenzy has been so bad that MSNBC contributor, Donny Deutsch, challenged President Trump to a fist fight on national television. Both Brzezinski and fiancé Joe Scarborough also responded to the president’s remarks.

But, Brzezinski decided to take it one step further by commenting on the first lady’s marriage and her alleged unhappiness. “I know Melania. I haven’t talked to her in months, but if my gut is right, I don’t think she’s going to put up with it much longer,” Brzezinski said. “I know nothing. That’s just my instinct and I go with my gut and my gut’s always right.”

Clarifying her “gut feeling,” Brzezinski made the stunning accusation that Melania was sticking with the “worst job in the country” only for the sake of her son Barron. “I’m just telling you, Melania’s got the worst job in the country and I don’t think she wants do it a lot longer. I think she will do it for as long as she has to for her son, and that’s it,” said Brzezinski.

Needless to say, Brzezinski got quite the surprise when Melania responded to her so-called insight. In one bold and brutally honest sentence, the first lady summed up the situation perfectly.

“It is sad when people try to further their own agenda by commenting on me and my family, especially when they don’t know me,” said Melania in a statement to the Daily Mail.

The left has a sad agenda indeed.

Ironically, after Trump announced his bid for the presidency, Melania’s first interview was with Brzezinski. Her comments seemed to foreshadow what was to come. “We have thick skin, and we know that people will judge him and people will call names,” she told Brzezinski.

How’s that for insight?
