Social media has become a very popular means of recruiting young men and women across the globe to join ISIS. This is particularly true when it comes to the recruitment of young people in America. ISIS’ most successful recruiter was a UMass-Boston graduate who knew exactly how to reach those who sympathized with their cause. But, he won’t be reaching them anymore.

According to Breitbart:

The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), in the latest edition of its online propaganda magazine Rumiyah, eulogized a French-born U.S./Syria dual citizen wanted by the FBI and considered a recruiter and essential operative in the jihadist group’s media efforts.

An article in Rumiyah titled, “Among the Believers Are Men” confirmed the death of the terrorist who had been wanted by the FBI since 2013 for conspiracy to provide support to jihadists and conspiracy to kill American service members abroad.

The article heralded 36-year old Ahmad Abousamra as a martyr and celebrated his many achievements as an Islamic jihadist. Abousamra was killed back in January after a U.S.-led coalition airstrike targeted the region. The terrorist, who was placed on the FBI’s most wanted list in 2013, was convicted in absentia back in 2009 for his travels to…

In 2006, Abousamra collaborated to carry out a what the FBI called a “major attack on U.S. soil”. However, despite having ruined his plan, the agency was unable to capture him and he fled to Syria. The FBI was offering a $50,000 reward for any information that could’ve led to his arrest.

The magazine applauded his escape from authorities saying:

“But Allah saved him from falling into captivity, allowing him to leave America before the FBI could gather sufficient information to release an order for his arrest at the borders and airports. So, he returned to the birthplace of his fathers in Sham [Syria], staying in the city of Aleppo for a few years, seeking knowledge, calling his family and friends to tawhid, and anticipating his next chance to wage jihad. “

Thanks to President Trump’s tough stance on terrorism, his chances of “waging jihad” are now zero.
