Something has been revealed recently about the Clinton Foundation. Turns out only 5.7% of the foundation’s massive budget was actually used for charity. The information was discovered when the organization’s IRS filings were leaked. The rest of the “charity” money went to paying the salaries and employee benefits. They also found out a good majority of it went to fundraising and “other expenses.”
The IRS filings went into some detail about where the money went. But hasn’t been able to figure it out. It looks like according to filings, the Clinton Foundation spent roughly $91.3 million in 2014. However, only about $5.2 million of that went to charitable grants.
Of the $91.3 million spent by the Clinton Foundation, nearly $34.8 million of it went to paying employees, compensation and benefits. There was another $50.4 million of it that is marked as unaccounted for. And $851K of it went to professional fundraising expenses.
Where did more than half of the money go to? It’s not like you can spend $50 million here and there without having a recollection of what it went to pay for. With Hillary’s shady past, anything is possible. And the American people deserve to know before making a decision to vote for this woman or not.
More IRS Reports on the Clinton Foundation
The sad report is how much more the Foundation made in 2014 vs 2013. In 2014, the Clinton Foundation brought in about $20 million more than they did in 2013. Even so, they still managed to spend 40% less in 2014 than they did in 2013. And they did that knowing it directly cut charitable spending.
It looks like instead of paying more to charity, the Foundation spent millions more on employee benefits and other expenses. Where is the money going Bill and Hillary? What are you going to do if you’re the commander and chief of the United States?
Apparently, the Clintons haven’t really been doing much charity work since 2010. Sean Davis at the Federalist said, “the bulk of the charitable work lauded but the Clinton’s Foundations boosters. The distribution of drugs to impoverished countries is no longer performed by the Clinton Foundation. Those activities were spun off in 2010. And are now managed by the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a completely separate non-profit organization.”
The Truth About the Clinton Foundation
Sadly, sources report the Clinton Foundation has been deceiving the IRS on Tax Exemption from the start. As of now, 64 House Republicans have requested the Foundation be investigated by the FBI, IRS and the FTC. The exact words of one House Speakers about the Clinton Foundation was it’s a, “lawless ‘pay-to-play’ enterprise that has been operating under the radar for years and should be investigated.”
Now we can only wait and hope the proper authorities respect the request of the Speakers and actually follow through. After the lengthy investigation into Benghazi and Hillary’s emails, this would likely be another investigation that takes years to complete. It’s too bad we can’t get some more info about this topic into the public eye, prior to the elections in November. This information could be enough to keep Hillary out of office for good.
